Three individuals were rushed to the hospital on Monday evening after being stabbed in southwest Calgary.
According to the Calgary Police Service, the stabbings occurred in the 100 block of Shawville Boulevard S.W. at around 7:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, emergency responders found three victims with stab wounds. They were immediately transported to the hospital in serious but stable condition.
The police have not released any information about the victims, including their ages or genders. It is also unclear at this time if the victims knew each other or if the stabbings were random.
The area where the stabbings took place was cordoned off by police as they conducted their investigation. The police have not yet made any arrests in connection to the stabbings.
Residents in the area were shocked and concerned by the incident. One resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said, “It’s scary to think that something like this could happen in our neighborhood. I hope the victims are okay and that the police catch whoever did this.”
The motive behind the stabbings is still unknown and the police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
