A single individual has been transported to the hospital following a collision in Scarborough on Monday evening.
Emergency services were called to the scene at the intersection of Lawrence Avenue East and Markham Road around 7:30 p.m.
According to Toronto police, a vehicle was traveling eastbound on Lawrence Avenue East when it collided with another vehicle that was attempting to make a left turn onto Markham Road.
The impact of the crash caused significant damage to both vehicles, with one of them ending up on the sidewalk.
One person was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The intersection was closed for several hours as police investigated the scene and cleared the wreckage.
