Suspect outstanding in 3-vehicle collision, 1 person injured: Toronto police

Toronto Police are currently searching for a suspect involved in a three-vehicle collision that left one person injured.

According to authorities, the incident occurred on Monday evening at the intersection of Yonge Street and Finch Avenue. The suspect, who was driving a black SUV, allegedly ran a red light and collided with two other vehicles.

The impact of the collision caused one of the vehicles to flip over, trapping the driver inside. Emergency services were called to the scene and the driver was extricated from the vehicle. They were then transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the black SUV fled the scene on foot before police arrived. Witnesses reported seeing the suspect running eastbound on Finch Avenue.

Toronto Police have released a description of the suspect, describing them as a male in his late 20s or early 30s, with short dark hair and a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie and dark pants.

The intersection was closed for several hours as police investigated the scene and gathered evidence. They are now appealing to the public for any information or dashcam footage that may help in identifying the suspect.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Toronto Police or Crime Stoppers anonymously. The investigation is ongoing and police are asking the suspect to turn himself in.
