A Waterford man is facing multiple charges after being pulled over by police during a routine traffic stop.
According to authorities, the incident occurred on Wednesday evening when an officer noticed a vehicle driving erratically on Highway 24 in Waterford. The officer proceeded to pull the vehicle over and upon further investigation, discovered that the driver was under the influence of alcohol.
The 32-year-old man was arrested and charged with impaired driving, driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit, and driving without a valid license. He was also charged with possession of a controlled substance after a small amount of drugs was found in his possession.
The accused was released on a promise to appear in court at a later date. His vehicle was impounded for seven days and his driver’s license was suspended for 90 days.
