Three women from Saskatchewan have been charged in connection with a homicide in Air Ronge, according to authorities.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) announced on Tuesday that 21-year-old Kaitlyn Roberts, 22-year-old Kelsie Roberts, and 25-year-old Mavis Quinn have all been charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
The charges stem from the death of 37-year-old Ryan Gatzke, whose body was found in a wooded area near Air Ronge on December 15, 2020.
The RCMP Major Crimes Unit, along with local officers, launched an investigation into Gatzke’s death, which led to the arrest of the three women.
The RCMP has not released any further details about the case, but they have confirmed that all three women are from the La Ronge area.
The three accused appeared in court on Tuesday and have been remanded into custody. Their next court appearance is scheduled for January 19, 2021.
The RCMP is asking anyone with information about this case to contact them or Crime Stoppers. They also want to assure the public that there is no ongoing risk to the community.
This is a developing story and we will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
