A motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital on Saturday night after being involved in a collision in Calgary.
According to authorities, the incident occurred at around 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of 17 Avenue and 37 Street SW. The motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on 17 Avenue when they collided with a vehicle turning left onto 37 Street.
Emergency services were immediately called to the scene and the motorcyclist was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
The intersection was closed for several hours as police investigated the scene. It has since been reopened to traffic.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation and it is unclear at this time if any charges will be laid.
