Police have identified the suspect charged with murder in the death of a man found shot in Brampton.
According to Peel Regional Police, 25-year-old Javon Reid has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of 27-year-old Darnell Reid.
On December 5, police responded to a call about a shooting in the area of McLaughlin Road and Queen Street East. Upon arrival, they found Darnell Reid suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
After an investigation, police identified Javon Reid as a suspect and arrested him on December 8. He appeared in court on December 9 and has been remanded into custody.
Police have not released any information about the relationship between the two men or a possible motive for the shooting.
