Free stuff: Reuse Rendezvous returns to Lethbridge Saturday

Lethbridge residents, get ready to score some free stuff! The popular event, Reuse Rendezvous, is returning to the city this Saturday.

For those unfamiliar with Reuse Rendezvous, it is a community-wide event where residents can put out unwanted items on their front lawns for others to take for free. This not only helps declutter homes, but also promotes sustainability by reducing waste and encouraging reuse.

The event, organized by the City of Lethbridge, has been a huge success in the past, with thousands of items being exchanged each year. This year, the event is expected to be even bigger and better, with more participants and a wider variety of items up for grabs.

Residents are encouraged to put out items that are still in good condition and can be reused by others. This can include furniture, clothing, toys, books, and household items. However, items that are not accepted include mattresses, tires, hazardous materials, and anything that is broken or in poor condition.

For those who are unable to participate in Reuse Rendezvous, the City of Lethbridge also offers a free bulky item pickup service. Residents can schedule a pickup for up to three large items, such as furniture or appliances, by calling 311.

The event not only benefits the community, but also promotes a sense of camaraderie and connection among residents. It is a great opportunity to meet and interact with neighbors while also giving back to the environment.

So mark your calendars for this Saturday, and don’t miss out on the chance to score some free treasures at Reuse Rendezvous. Let’s work together to reduce waste and promote sustainability in our city.
