A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a woman in connection with a fatal shooting in Toronto.
According to police, the shooting occurred on Saturday evening in the city’s east end. The victim, a 35-year-old man, was found with life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The suspect has been identified as 29-year-old Samantha Jones. She is described as 5’5″ with a medium build and long, dark hair. Police have released a photo of Jones and are urging anyone with information on her whereabouts to come forward.
Investigators believe that Jones and the victim were known to each other and that the shooting was not a random act of violence. However, the exact motive for the shooting is still under investigation.
Police have also released a statement urging Jones to turn herself in and to seek legal counsel. They are warning the public not to approach her as she may be armed and dangerous.
