Firefighters contain Orléans garage fire before it could spread to home

Firefighters successfully contained a garage fire in Orleans before it could spread to a nearby home on Tuesday evening.

The blaze broke out in a residential garage on the 100 block of Des Grands-Champs Avenue around 6:30 p.m. According to Ottawa Fire Services, multiple 911 calls were received reporting the fire.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the garage fully engulfed in flames. They quickly worked to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to the adjacent home.

Thanks to their swift and coordinated efforts, the fire was successfully contained and extinguished. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation and the extent of the damage to the garage is still being assessed. However, the home was spared from any damage.
