The Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO) has recently announced the launch of their Principal Pathway Program for Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO) Level 3. This program aims to provide brokers with the necessary skills and knowledge to become successful principals in the insurance industry.
The Principal Pathway Program is a comprehensive training program that covers a wide range of topics, including leadership, management, and business development. It is designed for brokers who have completed their RIBO Level 2 licensing and are looking to take the next step in their career.
According to IBAO CEO Colin Simpson, the program was created in response to the changing landscape of the insurance industry. “As the industry evolves, it’s important for brokers to have the skills and knowledge to adapt and thrive,” he said. “The Principal Pathway Program will equip brokers with the tools they need to become successful leaders in their organizations.”
The program consists of six modules, each focusing on a different aspect of running an insurance brokerage. These modules include leadership and communication, financial management, human resources, sales and marketing, risk management, and legal and regulatory compliance. Each module is taught by industry experts and includes interactive activities and case studies to enhance learning.
Participants in the program will also have access to a mentorship program, where they will be paired with experienced principals who can provide guidance and support throughout the program and beyond.
Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate of completion and will be well-equipped to take on the role of principal in their brokerage. They will have a deeper understanding of the industry, as well as the skills and knowledge to effectively lead and manage their team.
