A suspect has been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred in Etobicoke, according to Toronto police.
The victim has been identified as 32-year-old John Smith, a resident of Etobicoke. He was found with multiple stab wounds on the evening of December 15, 2021, in the area of Kipling Avenue and Dixon Road.
Police responded to a call for a stabbing at around 8:30 p.m. and found Smith with life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
After an investigation, police arrested 25-year-old Jane Doe on December 16, 2021. She has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with Smith’s death.
The suspect and victim were known to each other, according to police. The motive for the stabbing is still under investigation.
