Teen seriously injured in Scarborough stabbing: police

A teenager is in serious condition after being stabbed in Scarborough, according to police.

The incident occurred on Monday evening near the intersection of Lawrence Avenue East and Kingston Road. Police were called to the scene at around 8:30 p.m. and found the victim, a 17-year-old male, with multiple stab wounds.

The teenager was rushed to a trauma centre for treatment and is currently in serious condition. Police have not released any information about the victim’s identity or the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.

No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing. Police are appealing to anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

This is the second stabbing in Scarborough in less than a week. Last Thursday, a 16-year-old boy was stabbed near the intersection of Markham Road and Ellesmere Road. He sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The recent incidents have raised concerns about the safety of young people in the area. Local residents are calling for increased police presence and stricter measures to prevent violence in the community.
