A man has been arrested after allegedly following a woman and her child in an Oshawa store and committing an indecent sexual act.
According to Durham Regional Police, the incident occurred on Monday afternoon at a store on King Street East. The woman reported that she and her child were shopping when they noticed a man following them. The man then allegedly committed an indecent sexual act in front of them.
The woman immediately alerted store staff, who called the police. The man fled the scene before officers arrived, but he was later located and arrested.
The accused, a 33-year-old man from Oshawa, has been charged with committing an indecent act and two counts of breaching a probation order. He is currently in police custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
