RCMP seek driver in Grande Prairie hit-and-run

RCMP are currently searching for the driver involved in a hit-and-run incident in Grande Prairie.

According to authorities, the incident occurred on Sunday evening at around 9:30 p.m. on 100 Avenue and 102 Street. A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle, which then fled the scene.

The victim, a 32-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He remains in stable condition.

Police are now asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver responsible for the hit-and-run. They have released a description of the vehicle, which is believed to be a dark-colored SUV or truck with possible damage to the front end.

Investigators are also asking any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward and assist with the investigation.

This incident serves as a reminder for drivers to always remain vigilant and to stop and render aid in the event of an accident. Hit-and-run incidents not only cause harm to victims, but also result in serious legal consequences for those responsible.
