1 dead, 2 injured after incident in Mississauga

MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO – Tragedy struck in Mississauga on Monday evening as one person was killed and two others were injured in an incident.

According to Peel Regional Police, the incident occurred at a residence on Darcel Avenue, near Dixie Road and Bloor Street, around 7:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers found three individuals with injuries. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other two were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The identity of the deceased has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.

Police have not provided any details on the nature of the incident or the circumstances surrounding it. However, they have confirmed that there is no threat to public safety and that they are not seeking any suspects at this time.

The area has been cordoned off as officers continue to investigate. Residents are being asked to avoid the area and to cooperate with police if approached.
