The annual Parade of Chefs event, held in support of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation, has once again proven to be a success, raising a total of $265,000.
The event, which took place on Saturday evening at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre, saw over 400 guests in attendance. The evening was filled with delicious food, live entertainment, and a silent auction, all in support of a good cause.
The funds raised from the event will go towards the Foundation’s “Because of You, We Can” campaign, which aims to raise $6.9 million for various projects at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.
According to the Foundation’s Executive Director, Mary Lou Crowley, the Parade of Chefs has been a staple event for the Foundation for the past 16 years. She expressed her gratitude towards the community for their continuous support and generosity.
The event featured a lineup of talented chefs from local restaurants, including Bayside Brewing Co., Chilled Cork, and The Black Goose Grill, who all prepared their signature dishes for guests to enjoy.
In addition to the delicious food, guests were also treated to live music by local band, The Chasers, and had the opportunity to bid on a variety of items in the silent auction, including a trip to Las Vegas and a signed Toronto Maple Leafs jersey.
The success of the event would not have been possible without the support of the community, as well as the event’s sponsors, including title sponsor, TekSavvy Solutions Inc.
The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation plays a crucial role in supporting the healthcare needs of the community, and events like the Parade of Chefs are vital in helping them achieve their goals.
Overall, the 16th annual Parade of Chefs was a night filled with delicious food, entertainment, and most importantly, a strong sense of community coming together to support a worthy cause.
