The Chatham-Kent Film Festival is gearing up for a spooky and thrilling event this Halloween season. The festival, which is in its third year, will be showcasing a variety of films with a Halloween theme.
Organized by the Chatham-Kent Film Group, the festival will take place on October 30th and 31st at the Capitol Theatre in Chatham. The event will feature a mix of classic and contemporary horror films, as well as some family-friendly options.
According to festival coordinator, Sarah Jones, the Halloween theme was chosen to add an extra layer of excitement to the event. “We wanted to do something different this year and really embrace the Halloween spirit,” Jones said. “We have a great lineup of films that will appeal to all ages and interests.”
The festival will kick off on October 30th with a screening of the classic horror film, “Psycho.” This Alfred Hitchcock masterpiece is sure to set the tone for the rest of the festival. Other films to be shown include “The Exorcist,” “Hocus Pocus,” and “The Nightmare Before Christmas.”
In addition to the film screenings, there will also be a costume contest on October 31st, with prizes for the best costumes in various categories. Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in their Halloween best and join in on the fun.
