Nanton RCMP on scene at serious single vehicle collision

Nanton RCMP are currently at the scene of a serious single-vehicle collision, according to reports.

The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon on Highway 2, near the town of Nanton, Alberta. Emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 2:30 p.m.

Details about the collision are still limited, but it is believed that the vehicle involved was traveling southbound on Highway 2 when it lost control and rolled into the ditch.

The driver of the vehicle, who has not been identified, was the sole occupant and sustained serious injuries. They were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation, and it is unclear at this time if weather or road conditions played a role.

Traffic in the area was temporarily diverted as emergency crews worked to clear the scene and gather evidence. The highway has since been reopened.
