The Central Okanagan Hospice Association has officially announced the lineup for their highly anticipated 2025 Swinging with the Stars event. This annual fundraiser, which has become a beloved tradition in the community, will once again bring together local celebrities and professional dancers for a night of glitz, glamour, and giving back.
The event, which is set to take place on May 10th, 2025 at the Kelowna Community Theatre, will feature eight celebrity dancers who will be paired with professional dancers to compete for the coveted Swinging with the Stars trophy. The dancers will be judged by a panel of esteemed judges, as well as by the audience, who will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite couple.
Among the celebrities participating in the event are local business owners, community leaders, and well-known personalities. The lineup includes real estate mogul, Sarah Johnson, who will be dancing with professional dancer, Mark Andrews, and radio host, John Smith, who will be paired with ballroom dancer, Maria Rodriguez.
Other notable names on the lineup include Olympic gold medalist, Samantha Lee, who will be dancing with Latin dance champion, Carlos Hernandez, and award-winning actress, Emily Thompson, who will be partnered with ballroom dancer, David Chen.
The Central Okanagan Hospice Association is thrilled to have such a diverse and talented group of individuals participating in this year’s event. “We are so grateful to have the support of these amazing celebrities who are willing to put themselves out there and dance for a great cause,” says event coordinator, Lisa Brown. “Their dedication and hard work will help us raise much-needed funds for our hospice programs and services.”
All proceeds from Swinging with the Stars will go towards supporting the Central Okanagan Hospice Association’s mission of providing compassionate end-of-life care and support to individuals and families in the community. Last year’s event raised over $100,000, and the association hopes to surpass that amount this year.
