A tragic accident in North York has left one man dead after a two-vehicle collision on Sunday evening.
According to Toronto police, the collision occurred at the intersection of Yonge Street and Finch Avenue around 7:30 p.m. The two vehicles involved were a sedan and a pickup truck.
The driver of the sedan, a 35-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck, a 45-year-old man, sustained minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation, but police have confirmed that speed was a factor. They are also looking into whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the incident.
