A serious collision in Etobicoke has left one person critically injured.
According to Toronto police, the incident occurred on Monday evening at the intersection of Kipling Avenue and Belfield Road. Emergency services were called to the scene at around 7:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, they found a vehicle had collided with a pole. The driver of the vehicle, a 35-year-old man, was found to be in critical condition and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation. However, police have confirmed that speed may have been a factor.
The intersection was closed for several hours as police conducted their investigation. It has since been reopened to traffic.
