A woman has been charged with murder after a stabbing incident in Surrey, British Columbia resulted in the death of the victim.
According to the Surrey RCMP, the incident occurred on Sunday evening at a residence in the 14000 block of 115A Avenue. Police were called to the scene at around 7:30 p.m. and found a man suffering from stab wounds.
The victim, who has not been identified, was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Despite efforts to save his life, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The suspect, a 33-year-old woman, was arrested at the scene and has been charged with second-degree murder. She is currently in police custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
The relationship between the victim and the suspect is not yet known, and the motive for the stabbing is still under investigation.
