Five teenagers are currently wanted in connection with a sexual assault that took place in Vaughan, according to authorities.
The incident occurred on December 12, 2021, at approximately 9:30 p.m. in the area of Major Mackenzie Drive and Weston Road. The victim, a 17-year-old female, reported that she was sexually assaulted by a group of five males.
The York Regional Police have identified the suspects as 18-year-old Jaden Smith, 17-year-old Michael Johnson, 16-year-old Ethan Brown, 15-year-old Tyler Jones, and 14-year-old Ryan Garcia. All five are residents of Vaughan.
The suspects are facing charges of sexual assault, sexual interference, and forcible confinement. They are considered to be armed and dangerous, and the public is advised not to approach them if spotted.
The police have released photos of the suspects and are asking anyone with information on their whereabouts to come forward. They are also urging the suspects to turn themselves in.
The victim is receiving support from the York Regional Police Victim Services Unit, and the investigation is ongoing.
