MLSE boss says 'everything is on the table' at Toronto FC, including the Italians

Toronto FC, the professional soccer team owned by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE), is facing some major changes in the near future. According to MLSE boss, Michael Friisdahl, “everything is on the table” for the team, including the possibility of bringing in Italian players.

Friisdahl made these comments during a recent interview with CTV News, where he discussed the current state of Toronto FC and the plans for the team moving forward. He acknowledged that the team has not been performing as well as they would like, and that changes need to be made in order to improve their performance.

One of the potential changes being considered is bringing in players from Italy, known for their strong soccer culture and talent. This move would not only bring in skilled players, but also add a new dynamic to the team and potentially attract a larger fan base.

However, Friisdahl emphasized that no decisions have been made yet and that they are still exploring all options. He also mentioned that the team is looking at other areas for improvement, such as coaching and player development.

Toronto FC has had a rocky season, currently sitting in 12th place in the Eastern Conference. This is a far cry from their successful 2017 season, where they won the MLS Cup and Supporters’ Shield.

Despite the challenges, Friisdahl remains optimistic about the future of Toronto FC. He stated that the team is committed to bringing a championship back to the city and will do whatever it takes to make that happen.

In the meantime, fans will have to wait and see what changes will be made to the team in the upcoming months. But one thing is for sure, Toronto FC is determined to come back stronger and reclaim their spot as one of the top teams in the MLS.
