Voyageur Days plans to bring back Sunday night shows, daily passes

Real True News

After a year of cancellations and postponements due to the pandemic, Voyageur Days is gearing up to bring back its popular Sunday night shows and daily passes.

The annual music festival, held in Mattawa, Ontario, has been a staple in the community for over 20 years. However, like many events, it was forced to adapt to the challenges of COVID-19 last year by hosting virtual concerts.

But with the easing of restrictions and the success of the vaccine rollout, organizers are confident in their plans to resume in-person festivities this summer.

According to Voyageur Days president, John Smith, the decision to bring back Sunday night shows was an easy one. “It’s always been a fan favorite and we received numerous requests to bring it back,” he said.

The Sunday night shows, which feature popular Canadian artists, have been a tradition at Voyageur Days since its inception. They were temporarily replaced by virtual concerts last year, but Smith assures that this year’s lineup will make up for it.

In addition to the Sunday night shows, daily passes will also be available for purchase. This will allow festival-goers to attend the event on a specific day without having to commit to the entire weekend.

“We understand that not everyone can attend the entire festival, so we wanted to offer a more flexible option,” Smith explained.

The festival is set to take place from July 23-25 and will feature a variety of musical genres, including country, rock, and pop. The full lineup will be announced in the coming weeks.

In terms of safety measures, organizers are closely monitoring the situation and will follow all necessary protocols to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for attendees.

“We are working closely with local health authorities to ensure that all necessary precautions are in place,” Smith stated.

With the return of Sunday night shows and the introduction of daily passes, Voyageur Days is expecting a successful and memorable event this year. Tickets are now available for purchase on their website.
