It's a girl: Edmonton Oilers' Evander Kane prepares for baby #4

Edmonton Oilers player Evander Kane is getting ready to welcome a new addition to his family as he and his wife, Anna, prepare for the arrival of their fourth child.

The couple announced the news on social media, sharing a photo of their three children holding up a sign that read “It’s a girl!” along with the caption “Baby Kane #4 is a girl! Excited to welcome another princess to the family.”

Kane, who is currently in his third season with the Oilers, expressed his excitement about becoming a father for the fourth time. He told CTV News, “We’re thrilled to be adding another little girl to our family. Our three kids are already so much fun and we can’t wait to see what this new addition will bring.”

The 30-year-old forward and his wife have been married since 2018 and have three children together: Kensington Ava, Kensington’s twin sister Kensington Rose, and Kane Jr.

Kane’s teammates and fans have also shared their congratulations and well wishes for the growing family. Oilers captain Connor McDavid said, “It’s always exciting to see a teammate become a father. We’re all happy for Evander and his family.”

Kane’s announcement comes just a few months after he signed a seven-year, $49 million contract extension with the Oilers. He has been a key player for the team, scoring 22 goals and 27 assists in the 2020-2021 season.

The Oilers are currently in the midst of their playoff run, but Kane has been given permission to leave the team for the birth of his child. He is expected to return to the ice once the baby is born.

Congratulations to Evander and Anna Kane on their growing family. We can’t wait to see the newest addition to the Oilers family.
