'We're seeing visible change here': Efforts to bring order to Savanna Bazaar appear to be working

Efforts to bring order to the Savanna Bazaar in Calgary appear to be yielding positive results, as visible changes can be seen in the bustling marketplace.

The Savanna Bazaar, located in the northeast community of Savanna, has been a popular destination for shoppers looking for a variety of goods and services. However, in recent years, the bazaar has faced challenges with overcrowding, traffic congestion, and safety concerns.

In response to these issues, the City of Calgary and the Savanna Community Association have been working together to implement measures to improve the overall organization and safety of the bazaar.

One of the key changes that have been implemented is the introduction of designated parking areas for vendors and customers. This has helped to alleviate traffic congestion and improve the flow of vehicles in and out of the bazaar.

In addition, the City has also increased the number of bylaw officers patrolling the area to ensure that vendors are following regulations and that the bazaar is operating safely. This has resulted in a decrease in the number of safety incidents reported at the bazaar.

According to Ward 5 Councillor George Chahal, who represents the Savanna community, the efforts to bring order to the bazaar have been successful. “We’re seeing visible change here,” he says. “The bazaar is now more organized and safer for both vendors and customers.”

The changes have also been welcomed by vendors at the bazaar. “The designated parking areas have made it easier for us to set up and sell our products,” says vendor Sarah Khan. “We feel safer now that there are more bylaw officers around.”

While there is still work to be done, the improvements made to the Savanna Bazaar have been well-received by the community. The City and the Savanna Community Association will continue to work together to ensure that the bazaar remains a vibrant and safe destination for shoppers.
