B.C. Conservatives expected to release costs of promises days before election

The British Columbia Conservative Party is set to reveal the estimated costs of their campaign promises just days before the provincial election.

According to party leader Trevor Bolin, the cost breakdown will be released on October 20, just four days before the October 24 election.

Bolin stated that the party has been working diligently to ensure their promises are financially feasible and will not put a strain on the province’s budget.

“We want to be transparent with the public and show them exactly how we plan to fund our promises,” Bolin said in a statement.

The party has already released a list of their key promises, which include a 10% reduction in personal income taxes, a freeze on BC Hydro rates, and a review of the province’s carbon tax.

Bolin also mentioned that the party’s platform will focus on job creation and economic recovery in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We believe that our plan will not only benefit British Columbians, but also help to rebuild our economy and create much-needed jobs,” Bolin said.

The release of the cost breakdown comes after criticism from other parties, who have accused the Conservatives of not being transparent about their financial plans.

The BC Liberals have also promised to release their cost estimates before the election, while the NDP has already released their full platform and cost breakdown.

The provincial election is shaping up to be a tight race, with all parties vying for the support of voters. The release of the cost breakdown by the Conservatives will provide voters with more information to make an informed decision on election day.
