A man has been arrested in connection with a series of indecent acts that have taken place at bus shelters in Newmarket, according to police.
The incidents, which have been occurring over the past few weeks, have caused concern among residents and commuters in the area.
York Regional Police say they received multiple reports of a man exposing himself and committing other lewd acts at bus shelters in the area of Yonge Street and Davis Drive.
After conducting an investigation, officers were able to identify and locate the suspect. On Tuesday, December 15th, a 33-year-old man from Newmarket was arrested and charged with four counts of committing an indecent act.
Police have not released the name of the suspect, but they have confirmed that he is known to them and has a history of similar offences.
The investigation is ongoing and police are urging anyone with information or who may have been a victim of a similar incident to come forward.
