Vehicle lands in ditch after 2 drivers collide in southeast Scarborough: police

A collision between two drivers in southeast Scarborough resulted in one vehicle landing in a ditch, according to police.

The incident occurred on Monday evening at the intersection of Kingston Road and Meadowvale Road. Police say that one driver was attempting to make a left turn onto Meadowvale Road when they collided with another vehicle traveling eastbound on Kingston Road.

The impact of the collision caused one of the vehicles to veer off the road and into a nearby ditch. Emergency services were called to the scene and both drivers were assessed for injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.

The intersection was temporarily closed while police investigated the scene and cleared the vehicles. It has since been reopened to traffic.

Authorities are reminding drivers to always exercise caution and follow traffic laws to prevent accidents like this from happening. They also urge drivers to be aware of their surroundings and to avoid distractions while behind the wheel.
