Police search for 'armed and dangerous' man in suspicious death

Edmonton police are on the hunt for an armed and dangerous man in connection with a suspicious death investigation.

According to authorities, the incident occurred on Monday evening in the area of 118 Avenue and 96 Street. Police were called to the scene after receiving reports of a deceased individual.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of a man who appeared to have suffered from injuries. The victim has not been identified at this time.

Police have deemed the death as suspicious and are treating it as a homicide. As a result, the Homicide Section has taken over the investigation.

Investigators have identified a suspect in connection with the incident. 29-year-old Christopher Crane is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for second-degree murder.

Crane is described as armed and dangerous, and police are advising the public not to approach him if spotted. Instead, they are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact the Edmonton Police Service immediately.

The suspect is described as 5’10” tall, approximately 160 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo of a cross on his left hand and a tattoo of a skull on his right hand.

Police have also released a photo of Crane in hopes that it will aid in his capture.

The investigation is ongoing and police are asking anyone with information to come forward. They are also asking residents in the area to check their surveillance cameras for any suspicious activity.
