Winnipeg Mayor Honors Outstanding Citizens with Medals
In a ceremony held at City Hall, Winnipeg Mayor Brian Bowman recognized and honored several citizens for their exceptional contributions to the community. The annual Mayor’s Medal of Distinction ceremony took place on Tuesday, with a total of 12 medals being awarded.
The Mayor’s Medal of Distinction is the highest honor bestowed by the City of Winnipeg, recognizing individuals who have made significant and lasting impacts in the city through their leadership, innovation, and dedication.
Among the recipients was Dr. Jane Smith, a renowned pediatrician and advocate for children’s health. Dr. Smith has been a pioneer in implementing innovative programs and policies to improve the well-being of children in Winnipeg.
