The family of an 18-year-old University of British Columbia student is becoming increasingly worried and frustrated as their loved one remains missing.
The student, who has been identified as Ryan Shtuka, was last seen leaving a house party in Sun Peaks, B.C. on February 17, 2018. He was reported missing the following day when he failed to show up for work.
According to his family, Shtuka’s disappearance is completely out of character. They describe him as a responsible and reliable young man who would never just disappear without a trace.
Since his disappearance, extensive search efforts have been conducted by both the RCMP and volunteers. However, no solid leads have been found.
Shtuka’s family has been actively involved in the search, even setting up a Facebook page to help spread awareness and gather any information that may lead to his whereabouts.
His mother, Heather Shtuka, has been tirelessly searching for her son and has even traveled from her home in Beaumont, Alberta to Sun Peaks to join the search efforts.
The family is pleading for anyone with information to come forward and help bring their son home. They are also urging anyone who may have seen Shtuka on the night of his disappearance to contact the RCMP immediately.
As the days turn into weeks and months, the family’s worry and frustration continue to grow. They are desperate for any information that may lead to finding Shtuka and bringing him back to his loved ones.
The RCMP is also asking for the public’s assistance in locating Shtuka. They have released a photo of him and are asking anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
The community of Sun Peaks has also come together to support the search efforts, with local businesses displaying posters and offering rewards for any information that may lead to finding Shtuka.
As the search for Ryan Shtuka continues, his family remains hopeful that he will be found safe and sound. They are grateful for the support and efforts of the community and are holding onto the hope that their son will be returned to them soon.
