Toronto, ON – The remnants of fireworks were discovered at a movie theatre in Toronto that was evacuated due to a fire, according to the Toronto Fire Services (TFS).

The incident occurred on Sunday evening at the Cineplex Cinemas Yonge-Dundas and VIP, located at 10 Dundas Street East. The theatre was evacuated as a precautionary measure after a fire alarm was triggered.

Upon further investigation, TFS found remnants of fireworks in the theatre, leading them to believe that the fire was caused by the discharge of fireworks inside the building.

In the meantime, the Cineplex Cinemas Yonge-Dundas and VIP has resumed normal operations and is grateful for the swift response of TFS in ensuring the safety of their patrons.
