A suspected impaired driver has been arrested after their vehicle crashed into a building in Toronto’s east end.

According to Toronto police, the incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday near the intersection of Danforth and Coxwell Avenues. The vehicle, a black SUV, reportedly lost control and crashed into a commercial building, causing significant damage.

Witnesses at the scene reported hearing a loud crash and seeing the vehicle partially inside the building. The driver, who has not been identified, was arrested at the scene and is facing charges of impaired driving.

No injuries were reported in the incident, but the building sustained significant damage and has been deemed unsafe for occupancy. The owner of the building has been notified and is working with authorities to assess the damage and make necessary repairs.
