Man wanted in alleged break and enter of Leslieville business

Police are searching for a man in connection with an alleged break-and-enter at a business in Toronto’s Leslieville neighborhood.

According to authorities, the incident occurred on January 10 at a business located on Queen Street East near Jones Avenue. The suspect is believed to have entered the business through a window and stolen a significant amount of cash before fleeing the scene.

The Toronto Police Service has released surveillance footage of the suspect in hopes of identifying and locating him. The man is described as being in his 30s, approximately 5’10” tall, with a medium build and short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, dark pants, and a black baseball cap.

Police are urging anyone with information about the incident or the suspect’s whereabouts to come forward. They are also reminding business owners to ensure their properties are properly secured to prevent similar incidents from occurring.

This is not the first time the Leslieville neighborhood has been targeted by thieves. In December, a string of break-and-enters occurred in the area, prompting police to issue a warning to local businesses.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Toronto Police Service or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
