'Persons of interest' sought in connection with suspicious June fire

Edmonton police are seeking the public’s help in identifying two persons of interest in connection with a suspicious fire that occurred in June.

The fire, which took place on June 15 at a residence on 118 Avenue and 96 Street, caused significant damage to the property and displaced several residents.

According to investigators, the fire was deliberately set and they believe the two individuals captured on surveillance footage may have information that could assist in the investigation.

The first person of interest is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 5’10” tall with a medium build. He was seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and a black baseball cap at the time of the incident.

The second person of interest is described as a Caucasian female, approximately 5’6″ tall with a slim build. She was seen wearing a white tank top, black leggings, and a black baseball cap.

Police are urging anyone with information on the identity of these individuals or their whereabouts to come forward. They are also reminding the public that providing false information to authorities is a criminal offense.
