The Montreal Arson Squad is currently investigating a fire that broke out in the Rosemont neighborhood on Tuesday evening.
According to authorities, the fire started around 8:30 p.m. at a residential building on 16th Avenue near Saint-Zotique Street. Firefighters were quickly dispatched to the scene and were able to contain the blaze within an hour.
No injuries have been reported, but the building sustained significant damage. Residents were evacuated as a precaution and are currently being assisted by the Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, but the Montreal Arson Squad has been called in to investigate. They will be examining the scene and gathering evidence to determine the cause of the fire.
