CALLANDER – A new vendors market is set to open in Callander on Thursday, providing a platform for local businesses and artisans to showcase their products.
The market, located at 123 Main Street, will feature a variety of vendors offering a range of goods, including fresh produce, baked goods, handmade crafts, and more.
According to market organizer, Sarah Johnson, the idea for the market came from a desire to support and promote small businesses in the community.
“We wanted to create a space where local entrepreneurs and artisans could come together and share their talents with the community,” Johnson said.
The market will be open every Thursday from 9am to 2pm, providing residents and visitors with the opportunity to shop for unique and locally-made products.
Among the vendors participating in the market is Callander resident, Jane Smith, who will be selling her homemade jams and preserves.
“I’m excited to be a part of this market and to have the chance to showcase my products to a wider audience,” Smith said.
The market has also received support from the Callander Business Association, who see it as a way to boost the local economy and bring more foot traffic to the downtown area.
“We are thrilled to see this new market open in Callander and we hope it will become a popular destination for both locals and tourists,” said John Brown, president of the Callander Business Association.
The market’s grand opening on Thursday will feature live music, food trucks, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10am.
“We invite everyone to come out and support our local vendors and celebrate the launch of this exciting new market,” Johnson said.
