Tim Hortons launches pizza nationally to 'stretch the brand' to afternoon, night

Tim Hortons, the iconic Canadian coffee chain, is expanding its menu to include pizza nationwide. This move is part of the company’s efforts to attract customers during the afternoon and evening hours.

The decision to add pizza to their menu was made after a successful test run in select locations last year. The company received positive feedback from customers, leading them to launch the product nationally.

According to Tim Hortons’ Chief Marketing Officer Hope Bagozzi, the addition of pizza is a strategic move to “stretch the brand” and offer more options to customers beyond their traditional breakfast and coffee offerings. Bagozzi also stated that the company is constantly looking for ways to innovate and evolve their menu to meet the changing needs and preferences of their customers.

The pizza will be available in three different varieties: cheese, pepperoni, and deluxe. It will be made with fresh dough and topped with high-quality ingredients, including 100% Canadian cheese and sauce made from vine-ripened tomatoes. The pizzas will be cooked in a high-temperature oven, ensuring a crispy crust and delicious taste.

This new addition to the menu is not only a way to attract customers during the afternoon and evening hours but also a way to compete with other fast-food chains that offer pizza as a staple item. Tim Hortons is confident that their pizza will stand out in the market due to its quality and affordability.

The launch of pizza nationwide is just one of the many changes Tim Hortons has made in recent years to stay competitive in the fast-food industry. In 2019, they introduced Beyond Meat breakfast sandwiches, and in 2020, they launched a loyalty program and expanded their drive-thru and delivery options.

The pizza will be available for purchase at all Tim Hortons locations across Canada starting today. Customers can also order it through the Tim Hortons app for pickup or delivery. With this new addition to their menu, Tim Hortons is hoping to attract a wider range of customers and continue to grow their brand.
