A recent study conducted by the University of New South Wales has revealed that exercise may have a positive impact on the mental health of individuals who are struggling with depression.

The study, which was published in the Journal of Psychiatric Research, focused on the effects of exercise on individuals with major depressive disorder. It found that those who engaged in regular physical activity experienced a significant reduction in their symptoms of depression.

Dr. Healy emphasized that exercise should not be seen as a replacement for traditional treatments for depression, such as therapy and medication. However, it can be a valuable addition to these treatments and may even help individuals reduce their reliance on medication.
