NRPS Investigating Related Residential Break and Enters in Welland and Pelham – Update 1

Detectives from the Niagara Regional Police Service continue to investigate a series of related daytime residential break and enters in Niagara.

On May 17, 2023, two more related residential break and enters occurred in West Niagara.  One incident took place on Northgate Crescent (attempted break and enter) in Lincoln.  The second incident took place on Sophie Court in Grimsby.  The suspects continue to target electronics, cash, and alcohol. To date there are six known related break and enters in Niagara.

The suspect vehicle related to these incidents is a newer model white Ford Expedition SUV with stolen Ontario licence plate CEXF426.  The licence plate was stolen from an address on Jill Drive in Niagara Falls during the overnight hours on May 15th.

The suspects use a similar method to commit their crimes.  The suspects are backing the Ford SUV into the driveways of the targeted homes. One suspect exits the Ford from the front passenger seat and knocks on the front door.  The suspect waits 20-30 seconds.  If there is no answer the suspect will return to the Ford and two more suspects will exit the back seat.  They will then force open the front door with a shoulder or tool.   The suspects remain on scene for less than five minutes before fleeing in the Ford.
