QB Vernon Adams Jr. leads B.C. Lions to 27-3 rout of Montreal Alouettes

Vernon Adams Jr. led the B.C. Lions to a dominant 27-3 victory over the Montreal Alouettes on Saturday night, solidifying their spot in the CFL playoffs.

The Lions started off strong, with Adams Jr. throwing a 14-yard touchdown pass to Shaq Johnson in the first quarter. They continued to build on their lead, with Adams Jr. connecting with Bryan Burnham for a 10-yard touchdown in the second quarter.

The Alouettes struggled to keep up with the Lions’ offense, only managing to score a single field goal in the first half. The Lions’ defense was also on top of their game, holding the Alouettes to just 3 points throughout the entire game.

Adams Jr. continued to impress in the second half, throwing another touchdown pass to Burnham in the third quarter. He finished the game with 24 completions on 35 attempts for 307 yards and 3 touchdowns.

The Lions’ defense also played a crucial role in their victory, with linebacker Jordan Williams leading the team with 8 tackles and a sack. Defensive back T.J. Lee also had a standout performance, intercepting a pass and returning it for a 37-yard gain.

This win marks the Lions’ fourth consecutive victory, solidifying their spot in the playoffs and improving their record to 7-6. The Alouettes, on the other hand, have now lost three straight games and have a record of 6-7.

The Lions will look to continue their winning streak as they face the Ottawa Redblacks next week, while the Alouettes will try to bounce back against the Toronto Argonauts. With the playoffs just around the corner, both teams will be looking to finish the regular season strong and secure their spot in the postseason.
