In April of 2022, members of the Bromont Police Service in the Province of Quebec, began an investigation into the luring of a child under the age of 16. The investigation led to the identification of a suspect within the Niagara Region. Members of the Niagara Regional Police Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit took carriage of the investigation.
