Toronto Police have now charged 11 individuals in connection with a hate-motivated mischief investigation at an Indigo store in Yorkville.
According to police, the incident occurred on December 28, 2021, at the Indigo location on Bloor Street West. A group of individuals entered the store and began causing damage to merchandise and property while making derogatory and hateful comments towards staff and customers.
Initially, three individuals were arrested and charged in connection with the incident. However, as the investigation continued, police identified and charged eight more individuals in connection with the hate-motivated mischief.
