The Ministry of Defence has recently signed a contract worth Rs 2,956 crore with Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) to procure 16 Super Rapid Gun Mounts (SRGM) for the Indian Navy.
The contract was signed under the Buy and Make (Indian) category of the Defence Procurement Procedure (DPP) and is a significant step towards enhancing the Navy’s firepower.
