A woman has been arrested in connection with a suspicious fire at the Roadhouse Grille in Surrey, according to the RCMP.
The incident occurred on Sunday evening at the popular restaurant located on King George Boulevard. Firefighters were called to the scene around 8:30 p.m. and were able to quickly extinguish the flames.
Upon further investigation, the Surrey RCMP determined that the fire was deliberately set and arrested a female suspect on Monday. The woman, whose identity has not been released, is facing charges of arson and mischief.
No injuries were reported in the incident and the extent of the damage to the restaurant is still being assessed. The Roadhouse Grille remains closed until further notice.
