Man rescued from popular Banff viewpoint after falling from ledge

A man was rescued from a popular viewpoint in Banff after falling from a ledge on Sunday afternoon.

According to officials, the incident occurred at the popular tourist spot, the Banff Gondola, around 2:30 p.m. The man, who has not been identified, was reportedly taking photos when he slipped and fell from a ledge.

Emergency services were immediately called to the scene and a rescue operation was launched. The Banff Fire Department, Parks Canada, and EMS all responded to the call.

Rescue crews were able to reach the man and safely bring him back to the ground. He was then transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The extent of his injuries is currently unknown.
