The town of Chatham-Kent is gearing up for a colorful and lively event as the CK Can Jam is set to take place this weekend. This annual event, organized by the Chatham-Kent Arts Council, is a celebration of local artists and their talents.
The CK Can Jam, now in its fifth year, will feature a variety of activities and performances for all ages to enjoy. One of the main highlights of the event is the live painting competition, where artists will have just two hours to create a masterpiece on a large canvas. Spectators can watch as the artists work their magic and vote for their favorite piece.
In addition to the live painting competition, there will also be a variety of art vendors, food trucks, and live music performances throughout the day. Local businesses and organizations will also be participating, showcasing their support for the arts in the community.
The CK Can Jam is not only a celebration of art, but also a way to bring the community together. It provides a platform for local artists to showcase their talents and for residents to appreciate and support their work. It also serves as a reminder of the importance of the arts in our society and the positive impact it has on our lives.
The event will take place on Saturday, August 21st, from 10am to 4pm at the Chatham Cultural Centre. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend. So come out and join in on the fun as we paint the town with creativity and culture at the CK Can Jam.
